Privacy Policy

1. Scope and operator

This Privacy Policy applies to the Sleep Record mobile application for iOS and Android (the “App”) and the Sleep Record marketing website (the “Website”). The service is operated by 厦门舒然草本健康有限公司 (“Sleep Record,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

This policy does not apply to third-party services that have their own privacy notices, including Apple App Store and Google Play.

2. Privacy summary

• No registration, login, email address, or phone number is required.
• Sleep journal entries remain in local storage on your device.
• We do not sell personal information or sleep information.
• We do not serve behaviorally targeted advertising.
• We do not access precise location, contacts, camera, or microphone.
• If in-app purchases are offered, limited store transaction data may be processed to verify and restore your entitlement.

3. Information handled by the App

3.1 Sleep journal information

The App lets you enter information such as the record date, bedtime, wake time, estimated time to fall asleep, nighttime awakenings, awake duration, perceived sleep quality, daytime function, notes, and whether you experienced a sleepless night.

This information is stored in the App’s local database on your device. It is used only to display your diary, calculate sleep duration and efficiency, and create statistics and trends inside the App. It is not transmitted to Sleep Record.

3.2 App settings

Language preference and local feature state may be stored on your device so the App can remember your choices. These settings are not used to identify you.

3.3 White-noise playback

White-noise and ambient audio included with the App are played locally. The App does not use your microphone to provide this feature.

4. In-app purchases and entitlement verification

If paid features become available, purchases are initiated and billed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive your full payment-card details.

To validate a purchase, prevent duplicate processing, respond to refunds or revocations, and restore an entitlement, our purchase verification service may process:

• the store platform and product identifier;
• transaction and original-transaction identifiers;
• purchase environment, status, and relevant timestamps;
• expiration or revocation information, when applicable;
• a cryptographic hash of a Google Play purchase token, rather than storing the raw token as the entitlement identifier; and
• signed store notifications and verification payloads.

This information is not combined with your sleep journal. It is processed to perform the purchase contract, protect the service against fraud, and comply with store and legal requirements.

5. Website information

The Website does not currently use analytics, advertising pixels, cookies, local-storage tracking, or profiling technologies.

Like most websites, the infrastructure used to host the Website may automatically create limited technical logs, such as IP address, request time, requested resource, browser or device information, and error or security events. These logs may be processed for delivery, security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting, and are not used to build advertising profiles.

6. Device permissions and network access

The Android version declares internet access so the App can open legal documents and, if enabled, communicate with app-store purchase verification services. The App does not request access to precise location, contacts, camera, microphone, or advertising identifiers.

Operating systems may expose additional system-level controls or file dialogs when you choose an action. Those controls are provided by your device and are subject to its privacy settings.

7. When information may be shared

We do not sell or rent personal information. Limited information may be shared:

• With app stores: Apple and Google process downloads, payments, refunds, and restoration under their own privacy policies.
• With infrastructure providers: hosting, database, security, and technical service providers may process limited Website logs or purchase-verification data on our behalf.
• For legal and safety reasons: when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce rights, prevent fraud, or protect users and the public.
• In a business transfer: if the service is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale, subject to appropriate safeguards and notice where required.

Your locally stored sleep journal is not available to us to share.

8. Data retention

• Sleep journal and settings: remain on your device until you delete them using the App, clear the App’s storage, or uninstall the App. Device backups controlled by you or your operating-system provider may retain copies.
• Purchase and entitlement records: are retained as reasonably necessary to provide and restore paid access, process store events, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and satisfy legal, accounting, or store requirements.
• Technical logs: are retained for a limited period appropriate to security, reliability, and troubleshooting needs.

9. Your choices and privacy rights

You can view and delete local sleep records in the App. You can remove all local App data by using the clear-data function or your device controls. Uninstalling the App generally removes locally stored App data, subject to device or cloud backups you control.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding personal information processed by us, such as access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or the right to complain to a data-protection authority. Because we do not receive your sleep journal, we cannot retrieve or delete it remotely.

To make a request concerning purchase-verification or Website data, contact us using the method in Section 14. We may need enough information to verify the request without collecting unnecessary data.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information under our control. Local sleep data is also protected by the security of your device. You should use a device passcode, keep your operating system updated, and control access to device backups.

No system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security or prevent loss caused by device compromise, unauthorized physical access, operating-system behavior, or third-party services.

11. Children’s privacy

Sleep Record is not directed to children under 13. Where local law requires a higher age to consent to digital services, a parent or legal guardian should review and authorize use. If you believe a child has provided personal information to our online services, contact us so we can review the situation.

12. International use and transfers

Sleep Record may be offered internationally. App stores and service providers may process purchase or technical information in countries different from yours. Where required, we use legally recognized safeguards for international transfers. Your sleep journal itself remains on your device and is not transferred to us.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the App, Website, law, or our practices. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice in the App or on the Website when required. Your continued use after an update is subject to the revised policy.
